The state-run news site Zhejiang News says a tenant heard the baby's cries in the public restroom of a residential building in eastern China's Puijian county Saturday and notified authorities. Firefighters removed an L-shaped section of the pipe -- about 10 centimeters (3 inches) in diameter -- and rushed it to a hospital where it was dismantled and the baby was treated.
Video footage of the rescue was broadcast nationally overnight.
Zhejiang News says the child -- named Baby No. 59 from the number of his incubator -- is safe.
Police are treating the case as an attempted homicide, and are looking for the mother and anyone else involved.
I have a crazy (some may say insane) fascination for reptiles and amphibians, but mainly for snakes. For two weeks out of the year, the Erie Water Snakes and Northern Water Snakes are more than abundant on the shores of Lake Erie and Kelly's Island. There is nothing I like better than to go catch them, admire them, and release them. People don't usually understand what I mean when I say my favorite thing to do in the world is to go catch snakes...so here is a taste of what I do! Just for the record....these are not venomous.

Researcher Charlotte Harris Rees discussed Asian maps (see below) dating as far back as 4,000 years ago that show the coastlines of the Americas. Picking up on the work of her father who collected these maps, she suggested that the ancient Chinese were seafaring and traveled to America far before Columbus' arrival. As further evidence, she cited genetic markers that are shared only by Asians and Native Americans.
A GANG of robbers roar through a shopping centre on MOTORBIKES yesterday in a terrifying raid on a jewellery store.
Shoppers and staff scattered in panic as the six men, armed with axes and bats, tore past on three bikes.
One warned off shoppers with an axe as CCTV caught his accomplices smashing windows at the Fraser Hart store and grabbing gems worth thousands. The haul, including Rolex and Cartier watches, was stuffed into holdalls before the gang made their getaway back through the Brent Cross shopping centre in North West London.
None of the motorbikes in the carefully-planned raid had registration plates but they appeared to have been given "team numbers" by the gang.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said the vehicles were found abandoned at a nearby golf course. A witness said: "The break-in was done Italian Job style — but on motorbikes." Another onlooker, fashion shop manager Claire Smalley, 27, said the axeman threatened shoppers.

Terrifying dash-cam footage captures the moment a crazed motorist opened fire with an AK-47 rifle at police officers who had just pulled him over for a minor traffic violation in Middlefield, Ohio.
James Gilkerson, 42, exited his parked car and then fired 37 shots at the officers and their patrol car, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported. Officers Erin Thomas and Brandon Savage returned fire, killing Gilkerson.

Police have no idea why Gilkerson opened fire.
"He got of the vehicle, intending to kill my officers. We don't know why he did it," said Middlefield Police Chief Arnold Stanko. "He was a scumbag, and a terrorist, and he's dead."
In the March 10 video, Gilkerson exits his car--which the officers pulled over for running a stop sign--and sprays the patrol car with rounds of gunfire, cracking the windshield.
Thomas, reportedly outside the patrol car on the driver's side, is heard shouting as bullets begin flying at them. Stanko said Gilkerson was shot several times, but kept firing; he even shouted, "Kill me." Savage returns fire through the windshield, after which the officers kill Gilkerson.
Thomas lost a finger in the shootout; Savage sustained minor injuries to his left thigh.
Here's the dash-cam footage of the shootout (Warning: Graphic imagery):
Stanko said eight 40-round magazines were found inside Gilkerson's car, as well as some disturbing reading material (e.g., Backyard Rocketry: Converting Model Rockets into Explosive Missiles and Homemade Detonators: How to Make Them).
Officials say the officers' actions were justified and no grand jury proceedings will be necessary.

he shocking moment Disney Cruise Line dining room server, 33, 'molested girl, 11, in ship elevator'.Surveillance video shows the shocking moment an 11-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a Disney cruise worker at Port Canaveral, Florida just hours before the ship set sail.
Milton Braganza, a 33-year-old dining room server from Goa, India, allegedly fondled the girl's breasts and forcibly kissed her shortly after the Brazilian adolescent boarded the Disney Dream ship on August 5 with her grandmother and sister for a five-night journey to the Bahamas.
Since Florida authorities were not informed, the suspect stayed aboard the ship as it set sail and has since been released by police in the Bahamas to return to his home country, angering U.S.officials. Surveillance video shows the young passenger encountering the cruise line employee at 2:54pm, near the elevators shortly after she boarded the ship. According to estimates, a five day journey on a Disney cruises costs an average of $900 per person.
The girl boarded the elevator, where she said the man grabbed her breast, groped her and then kissed her, putting 'mouth on mouth,' she said according to a cruise security report.
Sprinkled in between the tales of horror and sadness to come out of tornado-ravaged Plaza Towers Elementary School, in Moore, Okla., are stories of brave teachers putting their lives on the line for students.
Fourth-grader Damian Britton described one such teacher this morning, when he appeared on NBC's TODAY. Rhonda Crosswhite, a sixth-grade teacher at the school, used her body as a shield to protect Britton and other students from the deadly storm.
"She was covering me and my friend Zachary,'' Britton said. "I told her we were fine because we were holding on to something, and then she went over to my friend Antonio and covered him, so she saved our lives."
The show also captured an emotional reunion between Crosswhite, Britton and Britton's mom, Brandi Kline.
A man is filmed trying to justify a deadly attack on a man thought to be a serving soldier. Warning: Contains distressing images.A man reported to be a serving soldier has been hacked to death in Woolwich, south east London, in what is being treated as a terrorist attack.
The two suspected attackers were shot by police following the incident in John Wilson Street, which Prime Minister David Cameron described as "truly shocking".
Authorities believe the killing was a politically-motivated Islamist terrorist attack and a meeting of the Government's Cobra emergency committee has been called. Video has emerged that appears to show one of two alleged attackers - with blood-stained hands and holding two bladed weapons - attempting to justify the attack.
"I apologise that women had to witness this today, but in our lands our women have to see the same," he said.
Dozens of weapons - including a number of knives - and pools of blood could be seen on the ground, where a man said to be wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt was attacked by two men. Witnesses say the pair appeared to deliberately drive their car at the victim, before getting out with various bladed weapons and launching their attack.
Following their attack, as the victim lay motionless in the middle of the road, witnesses say they heard the pair chanting "Allahu akbar" - and inviting passers-by to take photographs of them. As soon as armed police arrived at the scene, witnesses say at least one of the alleged attackers began approaching the officers - who opened fire and shot the pair. The men were taken to separate hospitals with gunshot wounds.
Photographs taken at the scene show three people lying on the ground. Their condition was not clear. A car that appeared to have crashed on the pavement could also be seen.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed one person had died following the incident and said the Independent Police Complaints Commission had now taken over the investigation, which is standard practice in cases where armed police fire their weapons.
Commander Simon Letchford, from the Met, said officers were called to the road at 2.20pm. "One man was being assaulted by two other men," he said.
"A number of weapons were reportedly being used in the attack, and this included reports of a firearm.
"Officers including local Greenwich officers arrived at the scene and shortly after firearms officers arrived on the scene.
"On their arrival at the scene they found a man, who was later pronounced dead. At this early stage I am unable to provide any further information about the man who has died. "Two men, who we believe from early reports to have been carrying weapons, were shot by police. They were taken to separate London hospitals, they are receiving treatment for their injuries."
The Prime Minister will cut short a trip to Paris to return to London in the wake of the incident.
He told a news conference in Paris that Britain had faced terror attacks such as the one in Woolwich, adding: "We will never buckle in the face of it."
Nigel Foran, who saw the incident as he returned home from shopping, described a scene of confusion. "He went to the floor and was surrounded while officers drew their stun guns. After that, all the people who were watching ran away when they heard the gunshots."
The Ministry of Defence said it was urgently looking at the reports that the incident involved a soldier.
Greenwich and Woolwich MP Nick Raynsford had earlier told Sky News he believed the deceased was a serving soldier. He said he had spoken to both borough commander Richard Wood and Lieutenant Colonel Bob Christopher at Royal Artillery Barracks - which is around a mile from the scene of the attack.
"We think a serving soldier was the victim. We don't know the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Schools in the area have been placed on lockdown.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson posted on his Twitter account: "This afternoon's attack in Woolwich is a sickening deluded and unforgivable act of violence."

After Sunday's Pentecost Mass, Pope Francis approached the children with disabilities who attended the Mass. He put both his hands on top of the head of one of the children. According to a journalist of TV2000, a channel owned by the Italian Episcopal Conference, this gesture represents an act of exorcism. The network, who has a weekly programme called "Vade Retro," questioned a few exorcists who confirmed his interpretation.
The images in the video show Pope Francis having a brief conversation with the priest who is standing behind the child, after which his expression changes and his hands cover the child's head.
"The exorcists who have seen the images have no doubt: this was a liberation prayer from evil, or a real act of exorcism," adds TV2000. Their next episode of "Vade Retro" will focus on Pope Francis' battle against the Devil and its temptations.
What do you think? Was this an exorcism or a simple blessing?

A Chinese cosmetics company forces employees to crawl in public.
Not everyone has the same thinking on motivating employees.
A company in China recently took an unusual approach.
Residents of Chongqing were surprised to see a bunch of well-dressed workers crawling on their hands and knees around the Liberation Monument. Many witnesses took photos of the bizarre scene and posted them on the web.
The police quickly arrived on the scene. Reportedly, the minds behind a cosmetics company thought it would be a good training and motivational exercise to have employees crawl in public. The idea being for them to learn how to thrive under pressure.
Law enforcement workers asked the group to leave and also criticized the training efforts of the company.

This match is by some referred to as: "the match that started the war".
Tensions had been building up gradually in Jugoslavia ever since Tito died 1980 and it all started to accelerate out of control around 1989 in a melting pot of nationalism, religious identification, demonizing of other sides (from all sides) and in the end, demands of separation from Yugoslavia proper. This phenomenon even gave birth to a new word: Balkanization.
Then this match happened, or actually it didn't, because the match never kicked off. But from that day people started to realize that war was inevitable.
The home team, Dinamo Zagreb with its supporters Bad Blue Boys, supported Croatian separatism while the away team, Red Star Belgrade with its supporters Delije (heroes), wanted to keep Yugoslavia intact.
Željko Ražnatović aka "Arkan" was the leader of Delije during this time. Soon he started a paramilitary formation "Tigers" made up of, among others, football supporters.
At 01:19 Zvonimir Boban famuosly karate kicks a Yugoslavian policeman and some say the person briefly seen at 00:50 in the gray suit might be Arkan.
Pick on someone your own size! Florida tour guide wrestles Burmese python which turns out to be 10.5ft long and stronger than him. A family of four taking a canoe tour of the Florida Everglades got an extra special surprise when their guide jumped out of the boat to wrestle a Burmese python.
Tommy Owens, 26, and fellow guide Warren Wortman of Everglades Adventure Tours were leading the parents and two young girls on a tour through the river when one of the family members spotted the snake.
The species aren't native to the area and are accused of a being scourge to local wildlife.
After pushing their tour boat at least 15 feet away from the python, Owen grabbed the snake under the water and allowed it to wrap and coil around him so he could pull it out.
Unfortunately for Owens, he hadn't realized that this particular python was 10.5ft long and much stronger than he was.
'He was very strong, about three times the size of my arms,' said Owens.
As they began to fight, the snake began to coil itself around his arm.
'That's when I found out he was stronger than I was, and much bigger than I thought he was,' Owens told NBC2.
'We were kind of doing like a snake ju-jitsu. He'd get a coil around one arm and my other arm would uncoil him and that arm would get coiled. It was tough... at one point I was literally handcuffed to this snake.'
Crystal McVea, author of Waking up in Heaven, sat down with Carlson to describe the near-death experience which led her to write this new book.
McVea said that her body took on an overdose of anesthetic during a surgery which led her to have an experience she describes as standing in heaven.
"What did it look like?" Carlson asked.
"I fail to find human words that can describe what I experienced while I was there," the published author replied.
"What does God look like?" Carlson continued.
"I saw an immense brightness -- a brightness I could feel, taste, touch, hear, smell -- that infused me," McVea replied. "Not like I had five senses, but maybe like I had 500 senses."
"Did he speak to you?" Carlson asked. McVea said that he did, "the entire time," but not through words. Also, she does not recall the conversation because she was "only allowed to remember a few things."
