The man who became a pigeon

Bram Esser has been posting videos, tweeting and existing online as a pigeon for two weeks. He is one of the 16 authors and artists of the "Fora and Fauna" art project. Their purpose is to close the gap between nature and urban life through technology and social media. Each author chooses an animal and occupies an online space from the animal's perspective, be it a monkey, a dog or a virus. Esser chose the pigeon as a way to explore the back alleys of New York City. There, he wants to film and write the stories of people he meets, from the homeless to teenagers and horse-keepers. Through the eyes of the pigeon, he deals in a light and humorous way with issues such as poverty, urban space, waste disposal and the environment.
